Caldwell Air Show

We went to the Caldwell air show last Saturday and had a lot of fun.  Here are some fun shots I took before we started to hear the "I'm hungry", "I'm thirsty", and "I'm tired".
Spencer has a new love for "airpanes".
In this photo, he is actually checking out a life flight helicopter.
Olivia and Richard next to a small airplane.
Grandpa Tucker would have been soooo proud.  Of all the cars on show there, Spencer ran to the Corvette right off the bat.  That's my boy!
 What a fun morning!
We wore him out!

A Bed For Spencer

I was going to take a picture of Spencer's crib before we took it down.  However, given that I could count the number of times he slept in it at night in the last year on just one hand, I decided neither of us has much sentimental attachment.

Spencer and Olivia have been sharing Olivia's bed because Spencer hated his crib.  My little man will no longer be forced to sleep on pink Princess sheets with his sister.  We took this picture to remind of us the many mornings we would wake up to see him like this.
"New bed, new bed. My bed, my bed."
He was absolutely thrilled when we had his bedroom set put together.

By the time we got the mattress, the novelty had worn off.  His first night sleeping in it was June 11th.  (I know, my blogging is way behind!).  As it is, the kids take turns sleeping in Olivia's bed one night, and Spencer's the other.  I love that they are so close!

Rocks in His Ears

"Rock.  Ear."
We were outside enjoying the first day of summer and I looked over to find Spencer in front of the neighbor's house putting rocks in his ears.

You can actually see the rock in his left ear in this picture.

No guys, I'm not doing anything wrong.  Why are you taking my picture?
One of his favorite phrases is "Dodder  (Dodger) did it."  I love this kid!

CRUISIN' INTO SUMMER!!!

I've been waiting for you for almost 10 months now...
There were a couple long, dreary months last winter that made me wonder if you'd ever be back...
But June 21 marks one of my favorite days of the year!
And summer, you did not disappoint me this year!
With lots of sunshine and 80 plus degrees, I am so glad you returned!
Next stop... the swimming pool!

Can't Wait Any Longer!

I've been ready for spring and summer since January.  June is finally here and we are soaking up every bit of sunshine God sends!  Today Olivia asked me to fill their little pool up.  I thought it was a bit chilly myself, but what could it hurt?  Both kids ended up in the water, but not for too long.

Spencer asks to go "side" (outside) every night.  He was in heaven this afternoon.  The water (which I thought was extremely cold) didn't phase him much.
 Priceless!!!
Olivia has decided it's fun to pose for pictures again.
*Sigh*  What a relief for me!

Poor Dodger!

I am not sure how well it shows up in this picture, but Dodger mysteriously ended up with red marker coloring near his right front leg and on top of his head.  I noticed these marks shortly after putting Spencer in time-out for coloring in some of my books, on the couch, and on his chair, with the same red marker.
Does he just look like trouble or what?

A Day of Shots

We had a busy, busy day last Thursday!  We spent the morning getting haircuts and pictures.  Olivia is officially 4&1/2, so Mom insists on photo "shots" to mark the occasion.

I liked this "shot" of my handsome boy and his short new haircut!

Olivia took a break from riding her bike to check out her "shot" owies.

Then we spent part of the afternoon at the pediatrician so the kids could get their immunization "shots".  My sweet girl was so brave.  She received four, yes, a whopping four shots... two in each leg.  She hardly winced!  I was so proud; I know I was definitely not that tough at her age (I'm not sure I'm that tough now).  It was a bit bittersweet because I very vividly remember the day she received her two-month shots.  That day I almost cried.    Spencer received one shot, and he was pretty tough, too, for a two-year-old!
