Hunting Season Once Again!

Hunting season has arrived.  The kids "helped" their dad get his pick-up loaded for his hunting trip to the Selway with Grandpa Tucker.  Now we just have to wait for Grandma Tootie to arrive!

Unfortunately this trip did not go off without a hitch... We woke up to say good-bye to Richard at about 4:45 this morning.  An hour later we were on the way to meet him at the Middleton exit because of problems with his battery, which actually actually turned out to be an alternator problem.  After hot cakes from McDonald's, and two trips to Les Schwab (maybe our story will make a commercial someday), Richard is officially off.

I can't help but remember Richard's first hunting trip, when he was hunting for moose.  I was pregnant with Olivia and hit a deer in my Honda Civic on the way to Lewiston for Randi's wedding.

The following year, we had this adorable little girl to send her dad off.  How time flies!  I remember taking this picture like it was yesterday.

Note the "nanny norn", aka candy corn, in this picture.  That is Spencer's cue hunting season and fall have arrived!
