Bogus Vegas

January seemed like the longest month ever.  We had three straight weeks of frigid zero degree temperatures at night.  During the days, it only reached the teens.  There was an inversion covering the valley, and for all but one, maybe two days, there was no sign of the sun.  We were fortunate enough to head up to "Bogus Vegas", as Olivia called Bogus Basin, for two hours of tubing a few weekends ago with friends.  It was beautiful!  We saw sunshine, blue sky, and thirty-degree temperatures that had us taking off at least one layer of our winter snow gear.  It was a blessing to see the sunshine!

Big smiles before the tubing began!
She got a little cold and upset at one point, but overall she did great!
This little guy was a trooper the whole time we tubed.
Olivia and her best bud, Tucker!

We made it through and were happy to have such a beautiful blue sky for a backdrop!
We were bummed to have to return to the valley, which was covered by a dense, brown layer of fog.
