Olivia worked really, really hard over the last few weeks to learn to recognize the letters of the alphabet. She practiced her flash cards every night (sometimes more) until she could say the letter and a word that begins with each letter; she had to do this for all 26 letters without making any mistakes to get her prize. I realize she doesn't know them perfectly yet in all situations, but I am so proud of her hard work.
Her reward: She went to "Donald's" for a hamburger and french fries and apple juice and an iCarly prize. (Remember, you have to speed up as you say each item, because this treat is as good as winning the lottery in Olivia's sweet mind.) She couldn't have been more thrilled, and she even let me take her picture!
Way to go Olivia! Great Job! That definitely deserves "donalds". It was so nice to see you guys on Saturday! We need to plan a get together soon, maybe even dinner with the hubbies too.
