"Welcome- Disneyland is your land. Here age relives fond memories of the past... and here youth may savor the challenge and promise of the future. Disneyland is dedicated to the ideals, the dreams, and the hard facts that have created America. . .with the hope that it will be an inspiration to all the world." Walter E. Disney, July 17, 1955
Pluto has become one of my favorite Disney characters. He was the first character we met in the park and Spencer was in utter AMAZEMENT. He wanted to inspect this Dodger-like creature, and that meant poking at his eyes and pulling on his ears. Pluto was quite a trooper!
Don't you wonder what he's thinking (Spencer, I mean)??? I absolutely love this picture, especially when you look at it with the one above.
This picture is definitely worth a thousand words. . . Olivia's sweet hug, Spencer's inquisitive stare. . . Mickey was the second character we met upon entering the park.Watching the joy and happiness Disneyland brings tens of thousands of children and adults every day makes me appreciate the unbelievable legacy Walt Disney created, all because he wanted to make families happy. He touches more lives every day than I imagine even he dreamed possible with his theme park. He could not have left a better mark.
